Life has it’s ups and downs.
We see examples of this everyday. Two days ago over 300 people lost their lives in the most lethal set of storms to hit the Southeast since 1974. Whole families have been lost. Neighborhoods have been flattened. Devastation beyond imagination.
This morning as I write this, I just watched Prince William marry Kate Middleton in a beautiful ceremony which has captured the hearts of the world. A true, fairy tail celebration. Nothing but joy on the faces of the newly married couple
Into every life, there will be good—and bad. We will all experience this ebb and flow in our lives. But followers of Christ have a hope—a true promise about their futures.
Romans 8:28 says, “And we know that in all things, God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose.”
“All things.” Not “some.” This is a promise that I lean on and have been able to experience through the trials of my life. I claim these words as mine.
